PIR sensor Features:

Low power consumption, stable technical performance, low price, etc.

PIR sensor application: It is widely used in the field of electronic anti-theft, human body, animal detector.

Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor definition:

A PIR sensor or passive infrared sensor is an electronic instrument that detects infrared radiation emitted from objects present in its field of view. The term "passive" was added as a prefix because these types of sensors do not radiate energy in any form. These instruments are used to detect the movement of objects, animals and humans through their infrared radiation. The detector senses the emitted blackbody radiation (from a person, animal, or object) in the mid-infrared wavelength range and compares it to the temperature of the background object.

Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor frequency:

Infrared is electromagnetic radiation with frequencies between 300 GHz and 400 THz [wavelength range 10-3-0.7 x 10-6m]. Infrared radiation is invisible to the human eye. Infrared rays are used in heating food and television remote controls, fiber optic cables, thermal imagers, medical applications, motion detectors, and more. PIR sensors are mainly used to detect and analyze the movement of objects or people.

PIR sensor working principle:

Every warm object, including the human body, radiates heat n the form of infrared radiation. Infrared radiation is invisible to the human eye. This radiation can only be detected by specially designed electronics. Passive infrared sensors detect and subsequently convert incident light energy (in the form of infrared waves) into electrical (electronic) signals.
